Each volunteer picks from opposite sides of the deck and the performer then tries to predict what cards the volunteers have chosen. He records his prediction on a hidden sheet of paper. When the two half cards are joined together, they are matches, and form a complete card! When the performer reveals his prediction sheet he predicted the same card!
